Pay only for what OpenPixo runs for you.
The OpenPixo desktop app and local features are free and open source. Credits pay for hosted generation. Your local agents and your own API keys never use OpenPixo credits.
What stays free
- The desktop app and local features, under the Apache-2.0 license, with no OpenPixo account required.
- App updates are free.
- Working with your own coding agent (Codex, Claude Code or OpenCode) and generating with your own API keys. Any provider fees are paid directly to that provider.
- Free recipes, skills and other free store items, subject to their own licenses.
An OpenPixo account is only needed for cloud features, including hosted generation with credits. Sign in with an email one-time code or Google. There are no free signup credits.

- Pay by card. The subscription renews monthly.
- Cancel anytime through the billing portal. It stays active until the end of the paid month.
- Subscription credits never expire and remain in your account after cancellation.
Credit top-ups

- Top-ups are one-time purchases, paid by card or Alipay through Stripe checkout, opened from the app.
- Credits are added after payment is confirmed. Closing the checkout result page does not affect this.
- Prices are in USD. Taxes are added where required by law and shown at checkout.
- 1 credit = US$0.01 nominal. The subscription and packs include the credit amounts listed above.
What a generation costs
The app shows the available hosted generation services and the exact credit cost before you confirm. The cost depends on the selected service and settings; check the quote in the app for each job.
Credits are spent only when you confirm a hosted generation. An agent cannot spend them without your confirmation.
If a generation fails, you get the credits back
- You confirm a quote. The credits for that job are reserved.
- The job completes. The reserved credits pay for the generation.
- The generation fails. The reserved credits are returned to your balance automatically.
Expiry and ownership
Credits never expire, including subscription credits, and remain after you cancel a subscription. Credits are tied to your account. They are not cash, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and cannot be exchanged for money. Eligible purchase refunds follow the policy below.
The store
The current Store catalog has no paid items. Check each item's license before using it.
Refunds
A top-up pack can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used. The first subscription payment can also be refunded within 14 days of payment if none of that month's credits have been used. There are no partial-month subscription refunds.
